3rd album from lo-fi fuzz folk band were they dive deeper into the their reaction to the world around them in this much more epic sonic building noise bath. But the core is always pure killer tunes! This recording comes with 3 of their stranger songs, one a straight electro pop tunes called "English Disco 1982" and voice burring shoegaze number called "The Ocean Glare" and the album closer "Acid Jam (The Red Noise Mix), which explains the concept of this blistering 60's freak out tune. But the record opener dictates the vibe is and very gliding quality. Also the album houses a great Pixes cover of "Wave of Mutilation"! "Now I'm Happy That Now I'm Sad" is a true masterpiece that builds and builds to an echoing drowning feeling as all the rhythm and instruments blur together sonic pure bliss in almost a Yo La Tengo fashion.
